Terms and Conditions
1. Nature of the Services (Not a Crisis Service)
Partnering Not Parenting Limited provides peer-led support memberships (Partnering in Practice), digital courses, masterclasses, events, and educational resources. This is not a crisis service. Our website, community platforms, courses, and live sessions are not equipped or suitable for immediate intervention for acute crises. If you or your child are in immediate danger or experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please contact your local emergency services (999 or 111 in the UK) or a dedicated crisis professional immediately.
2. Professional Disclaimer & No Medical Advice
The information, tools, and resources provided across all our courses, memberships, and workshops - including but not limited to live calls, recorded content, and written materials - are for educational and informational purposes only.
No Clinical Care: This content does not constitute the practice of any medical, nursing, or other professional health care advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Our content is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Suzanne Alderson is a guide sharing lived experience and strategies; she is not a medical doctor, psychiatrist, or therapist. Participation in any course or membership does not establish a clinician-patient or professional health care relationship.
User Risk: The use of information on this website or materials linked from this website is at the user’s own risk. You should never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read or heard within any of our resources. Always seek the assistance of your health care professionals for any such conditions.
Medication: Any discussion regarding medication is for informational purposes based on shared experience. Decisions regarding medication must be made solely in consultation with a prescribing physician.
3. Personal Responsibility & Wellbeing
You remain responsible for your own mental health and for maintaining your family’s professional medical support network.
Individual Results: Every family situation is unique. Your progress depends on your own efforts, situation, and factors beyond the control or knowledge of Partnering Not Parenting Limited. We make no guarantees regarding specific outcomes or changes in your child’s health or behaviour through our courses or memberships.
Discretion: Participation is at your own risk. You are encouraged to move at your own pace and only engage with content that feels safe for you.
Safe Participation: When joining live calls, you are responsible for ensuring your own safety and privacy. This includes finding a confidential space where you and others on the call won't be overheard (we recommend using headphones), ensuring you are not driving or operating machinery, and creating conditions that allow you to participate safely and attentively.
4. Payments, Cancellations & Access
Memberships: Billed monthly. You may cancel at any time via your account settings in Thinkific or our current hosting platform. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing cycle.
Digital Courses & Masterclasses: For one-off purchases, access is granted for 12 months, or as specified at checkout.
Refunds: Due to the instant-access nature of digital courses and membership resources, we do not offer refunds. We encourage you to ensure the resource is right for you before purchasing.
Statutory Rights: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Digital content must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality. If content is faulty or not as described, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund as provided by law.
5. Facilitation & Suzanne’s Availability
Suzanne Alderson is committed to showing up for all scheduled live components of courses and memberships. However, if she is unable to host a live session due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, we will provide as much notice as possible and reschedule the session or provide a recorded resource. No refunds or partial credits will be issued for individual session changes, as our services are provided as a holistic suite of resources.
Extended Unavailability: In the unlikely event that Suzanne Alderson becomes unavailable to deliver services for an extended period due to serious illness or other unforeseen circumstances, members will be notified as soon as practicable. In such cases, memberships may be paused without charge, alternative facilitation may be arranged, or refunds may be offered at Partnering Not Parenting Limited's sole discretion.
6. Communication and Boundaries
Methods: Support is provided within the designated community platforms, course areas, or during live calls. Suzanne Alderson cannot provide 1-to-1 crisis support or private coaching via direct messages (DMs), social media, or personal email.
Response Times: For administrative queries, please allow 48 business hours. We do not monitor platforms or emails on weekends or public holidays.
7. Intellectual Property & Resource Sharing
Personal Use: All course materials, membership resources, worksheets, and videos are for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may share insights with a co-parent, but you may not share login credentials or distribute materials to anyone outside the specific program you purchased.
No Unauthorised Sharing: You may not copy, record, upload, or distribute any materials (PDFs, videos, call recordings) to individuals or public platforms.
Professional Use: If you are a professional wishing to use our frameworks, you must obtain prior written consent from Suzanne Alderson.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of your use of our services or website.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Partnering Not Parenting Limited or Suzanne Alderson be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, our services.
Liability Cap: Under no circumstances will Partnering Not Parenting Limited be responsible for any damage, loss, or injury resulting from hacking, tampering, or other unauthorized access or use of the services or your account. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the services (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) shall not exceed the total amount of fees actually paid by you to us during the twelve-month period immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
